LIMITED LINES LICENSES
LINES OF AUTHORITY
Below are the lines of authority granted under a limited lines license and their unique qualifications. Please refer to the line of authority that you are seeking for more information. CREDIT
Before applying for a license, a resident applicant must first pass the Wyoming Credit Insurance Exam via PearsonVUE ↗.
Once the applicant has passed the exam, they may apply for a Limited Lines license on Sircon ↗.
Application fee for individuals is $100.
Fingerprinting is required for resident producers only on the initial license application. The fingerprinting fee is $39.
Application fee for firms is $100.
No continuing education is required.
Licenses renew every two years on the last day of the licensee's birth month.
Licensees are required to be appointed by an insurer to transact business with that insurer.
Nonresident home state licenses will be reciprocated.
CROP
Individuals that already hold property and casualty lines of authority do not need to apply for the crop limited lines license in Wyoming. This license type is for agents and agencies that ONLY deal with crop insurance and nothing else.

Continuing education requirements are 24 hours of continuing education every license period, with at least 3 of those hours being education in ethics.

PRE-NEED FUNERAL
This license type is for use by funeral home employees that are selling pre-paid funeral contracts paid directly to the funeral home. If the contract is backed by an insurance company, the employee selling the policy will need to have a Wyoming Producer License with the Life line of authority.
Before applying for a license, a resident applicant must first pass the Wyoming Pre-Need Funeral Insurance Exam via PearsonVUE ↗.
Once the applicant has passed the exam, they may apply for a Limited Lines license on Sircon ↗.
Application fee for individuals is $20.
An individual applicant must submit a letter of endorsement from a registered Wyoming funeral home with their initial application.
Fingerprinting is required for resident producers only on the initial license application. The fingerprinting fee is $39.
Application fee for firms is $100.
